Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Braies...
The Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Braies, with an extension of 25,680ha, is one of the largest nature parks in South Tyrol. We warmly invite you to come and explore its spectacular rock massives, colourful flora and vivid fauna and to feel the genuinity of its splendorous nature.
Some hiking tours in the nature park…
- Plan de Corones (m 2275, 4 hours walking time)
From San Vigilio to Passo Furcia (path nr.1) – military street to the top; alternatively the shortcut trail past the mountain refuges Panorama and Graziani (both closed in summer)
- S.Vigilio - Ciastlins – Riciogogn – Mountain pastures of Senes (6 hours to reach Senes)
Lé dla Creda – path nr.25 through Ciastlins Valley– at about 400 m after the first water shed follow path nr.24 – Riciogogn Pass – descent to the mountain pastures of Senes (Mountain Refuge Munt de Senes – Refuge Senes) – return through the pastures of Fodara Vedla - Pederü
- Pederü- Fanes- Lake of Limo- Gran Fanes (m 2104, 3 hours walking time)
Perderü – follow path nr. 7 – then take the street to the mountain pastures – Gran Fanes – in Gran Fanes it’s possible to continue to Capanna Alpina/San Cassiano (3 hours) or to Cortina d’Amprezzo (4 hours)
- Via della Pace (Peace Trail)– Mount Vallon Bianco (m 2793, 2 ½ hours walking time)
From the mountain pastures of Fanes to the Lake of Limo – then to Gran Fanes. Keep left and take path VB to Mount Vallon Bianco (2 ½ hours).
From Gran Fanes follow path VB for about 1 ½ hours. At the crossing with the path leading to Furcia Rossa, take the right and follow the “via ferrata” (reconstructed in 2003).
- S.Vigilio – Lake of Braies (6 hours)
Start at Hotel Paraccia – path n.19 through Fojedöra Valley – mountain pastures of Fojedöra – descent to the Lake of Braies (return by car).
