Walks and excursions around Al Plan/ San Vigilio di Marebbe
San Vigilio offers a full programme of excursions ranging from pleasant walks to challenging climbing tours, all in spectacular scenery.
Walks around San Vigilio…
- S. Vigilio-Lé dla Creda (2 hours walking time out and back)
Follow path nr. 1 to Ciamaor. Keep right and continue on the trail following the river Rio Rudo. In 10 minutes you will reach Lé dla Creda. Return to San Vigilio on the asphalted street or on the walking path right next to it.
- S.Vigilio – Tamersc – Pederü (1 ½ hours walking time)
Follow path nr. 2 to Lé dla Creda. Continue through the pine woods and meadows, walking along the path flanking the asphalted street partly to the right and partly to the left. You will reach the pastures of Tamersc and after 3 more kilometres the mountain refuge Pederü.
- S.Vigilio – Ciamaor – San Vigilio (1 ½ hours walking time)
Starting in front of Pensione Paraccia, walk uphill along the street until you get to the reservoir; at the reservoir leave the street and bend into the path leading to Ciamaor. Return to San Vigilio on the street.
- S.Vigilio – Mountain Pass Furcia (4 hours walking time)
The itinerary starts in the pleasant small village of La Pli. From there you may walk along different routes to the hamlets of Brach, Ciaseles, Frontü, Biei, Fordora, Frena, La Costa and Cianoré. The hamlets are connected by paths and country roads and once you have reached one, you can already view the next. So don’t be afraid of choosing your own route and to enjoy, as you please, the beauty of the countryside and to explore the architectonical peculiarity of the Ladin hamlets.
